Mobile Developer
Role Description
Quick Systems is looking for an experienced Mobile Developer to modernize and rebuild the Quick3 mobile application for iOS and Android. The current mobile solution is based on React Native and tightly coupled to legacy backend logic, including extensive use of SQL procedures.
The primary responsibility of this role is to port the existing mobile application to a new, robust and maintainable architecture, and to build a modern mobile app aligned with the future product direction of Quick3.
This is a hands-on engineering role with significant influence over technical direction, architecture, and long-term maintainability of Quick3’s mobile offering.
Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain native or cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android.
· Reduce technical debt and improve structure, performance, and stability.
· Collaborate closely with backend developers and Product Manager.
· Define and enforce mobile development standards and best practices.
· Improve integration patterns between mobile app and backend services.
Technical Responsibilities
· Analyze the current React Native application and identify migration paths.
· Design a new mobile architecture with clear separation of concerns.
· Implement integration layers toward backend APIs.
· Reduce dependency on legacy SQL procedures.
· Ensure testability, CI/CD, and reliable release processes for mobile apps.
Collaboration & Delivery
· Work closely with Product Manager, UX, and Customer Success to translate business and customer needs into technical solutions.
· Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
· Help build solutions that reduce manual delivery and support through increased self-service capabilities in the product.
Key Qualifications
Experience & background
· Proven experience developing mobile applications for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin), or strong React Native experience at production scale.
· Experience with legacy system modernization or app rewrites.
· Solid understanding of mobile architecture, state management, offline handling, and sync.
· Experience working closely with backend systems and APIs.
· Experience with ERP, accounting, or transaction-heavy systems is highly valued.
· Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure is an advantage.
Mindset & Way of Working
· Structured, quality-oriented developer with strong ownership of solutions.
· Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term technical sustainability.
· Comfortable working with complex business logic and problem domains.
· Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Language & location
· Scandinavian language (written and spoken).
· Fluent in English (written and spoken).
· Based in Norway (Gjøvik/Oslo), with Gjøvik being the primary location.
